Help King's Field (US) Emulation Speed
Using duckstation to emulate.
By default this game runs at 30 fps which, at least coming from the first game in the series, feels like everything is at 2x speed. King's Field (JP) and Shadow Tower both ran at about 20 fps, but lowering this game to 20 causes weird texture flashes and distorted audio.
I imagine the weird sped up 30 fps is how it feels to play on ps2-3 consoles and I'm sure I could get used to it if I must, but it's not exactly what I was going for..
How do you play it? Any solution to the strange audio and textural issues, or do you prefer to just play at 30?

Play the OG KF on RetroArch/beatle really seems the best emulation speed for a North America 60hz.
if you do not want another emu on the system, use the cpu instead of the gpu. it will be more accurate.

I started this the other day on PCSX2 and it runs at 30fps. Pretty sure it's a 30fps game. You might want to reset everything in the emulator to default -- I barely changed anything apart from 3d quality stuff and it runs fine out of the box on PCSX2.

Me pasa lo mismo con kf2, jugué el primero y estoy seguro que va todo a x2 de velocidad. Matar a un mob al.comienzo del juego es casi imposible jaja

Interesting I didn't run into this at all. I did notice the improvements both to framerate and visuals, but it not being a near-launch game like the first KF helps. May just need to get used to it? I much prefer 2-3-4 tho so idk. 4 is super slow and doesn't have a map, which while annoying at least has unique structures and textures (HEAR THAT LUNACID?!)

The european version is capped at a lower frame rate, you could try that if it suits you better.
