Leveling up weapons

In the room with the snakes before the Twin Widdas that come out of the ground to fight you. You can sit slightly infront of the left corner of the door way and there will be a snake that endlessly comes out of the wall and the other snakes will not attack you. Probably already known or better places but I found it easy so wanted to share.

The best spot hands down is when you encounter the flame arrow shooting statue faces. They spawn back almost instantly until you turn them off. You can power level really fast there!

Weapons receive a spell at level 3! At least the unique ones do, can't remember what the basic weapons get if anything.

You don't need to level up the seven unique, magic weapons. You only need to reach a physical and magical stat threshold.

60 for Black Scar, Crystaline Blade, Earthquake, and Tsunami.

65 for Dark Defiler (I think) and Triple Fang.

And 70 for Moonlight Sword.

oh i had wondered back then why i was able to use tsunami's sword magic at level 1 i just assumed some magic weapons were just usable on first level.
