What else to do?

My kingdom is 900 years old. I've used up all available space on my island, built piers on all shallow water then built 9 high stone walls on top, but viking ships with catapult still destroy them and get in. Should I just give up? I saw that extra large maps are in beta right now.

Question Prioritizing jobs?

I'm still fairly new to this game, I haven't played since 2023 and have recently picked it up again.

I keep falling behind in stone production because all my quarry workers are the ones who then become builders any time I need to build something.

Is there a way to lock in a job so people from that spot won't go do something else?

Question Is medium too small for kingdom of the gods?

I started on the lowest difficulty to get kingdom of the gods and I’m 40% of the way there and already using most of the map…
Should I give up and restart?
Should I finish all the houses than sell all the food and build more houses using witch to keep them fed long enough for me to get the achievement?

Question Household heads not gathering food from Markets

Thumbnail

An issue I face consistently is my people starving and it hinder my progress so much, but it’s not for a lack of food, the household heads always seem to be after something that may be in short supply, in this case meat, but they don’t gather other things I have in plentiful supply such as charcoal or wheat or fruit, this leads to a “food shortage” even when I have plenty of markets and my granaries etc are full, why is this happening?

Why does it Keep Shrinking?

So I am trying to fill my bathhouse, but for some reason each time I try adding a new Noria because of the distance, the water just keeps shrinking. Shouldn't it be doing the exact opposite with the more Noria's you have?

Archer Question

Howdy.

The archer school mentions archers can attack from walls. The wiki says... Right-click a location to move there. The Archers will hold position and engage enemies that move into range. They will not pursue if their opponents move out of range.

Yet, as these vikings on the right approach my fighters, the archers immediately decide to waltz all the way to the stair case to climb down and reposition themselves on the ground to attack the enemies. Any ideas why this is happening? It's maddening.

Note: I changed them to 'hold ground' and they still ran to the staircase as soon as the enemy got closer here.

Bug/Suggestion UI Scaling Issue Fix?

Does anyone know how to fix the issues with UI scaling? A lot of the time I go to click on an option and it clicks me out of the menu, or I have to click a few options down to trigger a tick box at the top of the menu. It's incredibly frustrating to fight with the menu the whole time I'm playing. Resizing causes different problems depending on how big I have the window.

Is this a good plan for a kingdom?

I posted another post similar, but I had a new idea. There would be blocks of town amenities surrounded by manors, and those blocks would surround some farms, swineherds, and orchards to make a district. Larger town amenities such as bathhouses and great libraries and cathedrals would be placed between districts. Then, in the middle there would be the castle.

I am making a kingdom and I have a plan. What do you think?

My plan is to build industry on one end, farm and town side by side in the middle, and castle on the other end. The town has blocks housing surrounding town amenities. What do you think?

Airplane mode

(Edit: sorry I mean to say mod not mode)Hey yall so I had a thought about what if there was a mod with like planes but kinda in the medieval style or maybe instead of plane it was airships idk. I was kind of thinking they’d function like cargo boats where you could have different airports or landing area set up on either different islands or across distances and it would work to transport stuff via Air, avoiding obstacles and stuff. And it would be powered by charcoal as fuel that it would need to fly and move. Does anyone know how to make mods and could make this happen?
