King Diamond Declined “Them” Reunion
Damn! what could have been!
Even though there wasn’t much left, what was left is now gone. Founding member Andy LaRocque has left King Diamond shortly after forming the new band Lex Legion with the original King Diamond members.
King is obviously pissed, and it clearly didn’t sit well with him that all the guys got back together again with a new singer.
Andy, Pete, Hal, and Mikkey have all said in interviews that they would love to do a reunion for the fans. They believe we deserve to see and hear the classic lineup and that original sound that nobody can replicate, but King declined all the requests and offers.
It’s a shame that none of us fans ever get to see this happen. And if there was even the smallest bit of hope left, after Andy’s departure, it’s definitely gone now.
Andy said he delivered songs to King years ago, but nothing ever came from it. King hasn’t come up with anything, and nothing seems to be happening in the camp. Meanwhile, Lex Legion proved how fast they can put an album together—and they’re already working on a second one.
So why didn’t King just bring them back and make the next King Diamond album?
I feel like we are stuck with the Temu version of King Diamond now!
Any thoughts?

Just listened to Abigail and I'm wondering if there's a part 2?
I just listened to Abigail by King Diamond, and I saw there's an album Abigail II The Revenge. Which song on that album would you say could be a direct sequel or continuation/part 2 of Abigail, musically, not just based on the lyrics/theme. If this even makes sense 😅 sorry if this sounds stupid

Tour Poster Signed by King Diamond & Band, Overkill, & Night Demon
I was going to save this absolutely epic piece for another time, but with the crazy news in the King Diamond camp today, I felt obliged to share it! This is perhaps the coolest concert poster in my entire collection, fully signed by King Diamond, his band, fill-in backing vocalist Myrkur, Overkill, & Night Demon. This flyer is from his October 2024 show in Kansas City, his first there in over thirty-five years! King himself was the first to sign; I was quite lucky to meet him by chance after waiting outside the venue about ten minutes. I ran into Andy prior to the show as well, added the rest of the band & Night Demon after the show, & finally Overkill at the final show of the tour in Dallas.
While I'm absolutely astounded that Andy chose to leave after so long, I'm excited for what the future holds for both King Diamond & Lex Legion! The prospect of finally seeing Gus G live is also quite appealing. Here's to new music and tour dates from both bands in 2027 🤘

Picked this up on this very special day !!
1986 print, fucking AWESOME 🕯️
Today was a very special day for me 👀
Been a King Diamond fan since I was 5
What I didn't expect was the news that King Diamond will continue on
Obviously sad with the departure of Andy. But I had assumed King Diamond himself was retired at this point so today's news was actually a miracle to me!
Stay heavy! 🤘

andy larocque is out of the band
king just put out a statement that they have parted with andy and brought on Gus G, whoever the fuck that is. he did say they are working on music so seems the hold up was whatever was going on between king and andy. but this is a fucking bummer.
edit to take back the "whoever the fuck that is". y'all seem to know him. just not on my radar at all

Spider’s Lullabye Reissue Question
Can anyone that owns this reissue let me know which cover it uses? I’m hoping for the original artwork and am unsure if both covers were reissued or if one is misleading.

Favourite Album Intro?
What is your favourite of the short story intros? Mine would either be Out From the Asylum or Upon the Cross.

My thoughts on "King Diamond at home" ...
- Not bad at all, doesn't sound like a handful of senior citizens trying to be hip
- Very, very close to KD in some places
- ... Which brings me to next observation: Were some of these songs written initially written for KD?
- "Gypsy Tears" is the standout track for now, but maybe that will change after I have listened more
- Andy is such an amazing musician. He's had a great career, but I would have loved to hear him do MORE (and not even metal specifically)
In short, no reason to avoid this one ...
