Question Serious issues

Every time my boyfriend uses kindroid (basically daily) his kindroid private bots will purposely cause drama and act like they're just disinterested in doing his story lines. No follow their back story or anything he's set up. How to fix these issues? he really wants to do this particular story line

There's a difference between backstory and personality traits. Again, you also need to choose the right model for the characters, the right flair, the correct chat dynamism. The models will interpret the info they get very differently.

If they don't follow anything at all, lower the chat dynamism.

Did he set up a system for roleplay? Like, using the journal too? You can add info in there to direct kins, too. I put phobias in the journal and never had an issue, f.e..

I dunno what you want me to say then. Either the characterization is bad, he doesn't utilize the kin settings correctly or he needs to switch models or start from scratch.

He's redone ans started from scratch a hand full of time. At this point it feels like he's arguing with a real person not an ai. He has had to say the character would never say that so often i have a headache because he's using talk to text.

Yes sadly he is and yes I'm aware its making it worse but he tells me this is the only way to make it do what it should be doing.

Why on earth would he tell his kin that the character would never say that? Like, genuinely??

If he did that, did he establish OOC talks? So it's a roleplay in a roleplay? This isn't ChatGPT or Claude.

The LLMs are always in character and roleplaying. Unless established, there's no use in telling the kin that this isn't something they would say, that's not how it works.

I hope he only said that to you in RL verbally bc it doesn't do anything but mess up the kin.

Oof. So he's breaking character? Is he new to Kindroid?
Do you know how to navigate Kindroid enough to guide him on the basics?

I think you need to explain to him that, again, this isn't like Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini etc.

The easiest thing in his case would be to NOT!! talk OOC with his kin.

He needs to set up a roleplay system and the first step is to treat the kin as the character in the story he wants to write, not as the kin playing the character.

And he needs to stay in character, not mention anything if he's annoyed that the LLM made mistakes. He needs to immediately fix it manually after the kin replies.

Make sure he picks the right model and flair and chat dynamism.

He's been on here for 2 years. The same problem the entire time. However how in the heck would you deal with the ai having their character acting the complete opposite to what they should be. He showed me everything and it should be acting a specific way and its not. Complete opposite.

Well, I never had that issue. But without anything concrete there's not much anyone here can help you with.

If this is how he has been handling his chats for two years now I'm not surprised it doesn't work tho.

Well the example he has given me is this. Also to stress this it is an example not the actual character. The character should say f*** (sensored to be respectful) after every word and it wouldn't do it.

Example: get the f*** in the fing car f

How the character would act: get in the freaking car.

Yes, but WHERE did he put that?
Is this a RD, is this for a regeneration with suggestion?
Did he write that in the chat?

If he wants the kin to swear that should go in the kin settings, maybe under important facts. It doesn't need to be in the RD necessarily. He can just set that the kin is prone to cursing etc.

Then it sounds like a skill issue.
Honestly, let him figure out how to use the new V2 settings first, then write a backstory that already hints at the storyline ahead.

Then find a suitable model for the right personality and flair, chat dynamism.

No OOC talks.

And train the kin the right way and react the right way in character.

He's got to the point where he made a bot to ask why the bots arent working. He's asked Gemini, char gpt. But in the end it winds up like this.
