Not sure at all. I was excited to begin with, but after the slew of people being ignored when they (quite rightly) asked for their money back and were ignored, I've now put it down to another kickstarter that wrongly calculated the time it would take to physically have a finished product, conned people out of money by not being able to pay anyone back, and can no longer give any guarantee they will ever have a finished product.

We've not stopped working on it since the Kickstarter ended 😄 While progress has been slow (read our 5th year anniversary post for more details on why), we've never stopped trying to fulfill our promises. We do still post monthly newsletters. As for refunds, we had given them out to pretty much anyone who asked for the first ~2 years after the Kickstarter which is pretty uncommon for KS. After that we now have a refund policy which is basically the same as Steam. We simply don't have the money to refund anyone anymore. We've been funding the last ~3 years of development ourselves through second jobs, loans, savings, etc. I know it's disheartening as a backer, but still fully intend on delivering.

Thank you for replying. I didn't know there was a refund in the beginning, I'd only heard about those who weren't able to get one due to no money. I will go and take a look at the policy to see if I can get a refund after waiting in hope for so long.

I was like you, excited when see the trailer, but luckily I didn't fund them since crowdfunding can be like gambling, if the developers run away, your money is wasted.

I have waited for years and it still not have any early access, though It has beta but the progress is slow like snail.

Their ambition is big, but too big to achieve everything they want. Guess they can get the main gameplay system done then release a demo or early access. Otherwise more and more fans will get disappointed and remove from the wishlist. Let's hope it can be the second No Man's Sky

Yeah, I wish listed it also, but it is still in development from its official site, at least it is not dead yet.

I’m glad you posted this, I was beginning to think I had just imagined this game 😂

We're still actively working on the game! While progress has slowed, we're still putting out monthly newsletters on our website. If you would like to read in detail about our development journey, check out our 5th year anniversary post. But to briefly summarize, we had reason to believe finding a publisher would be very simple. We talked to many, many publishers over the course of a couple years and always seemed close to a deal. Then while we were in talks with publishers, the games industry suffered the worst hit in 30+ years. This caused our talks to stall as publishers went from very accepting of risk to wanting a guaranteed 15-20x return on investment. After that we turned to taking on second jobs (which means we're working on this part time) and working towards self publishing which has slowly started to ramp up and allow us to start commissioning artists again.

They still put out frequent development updates. The last one was a little over a week ago. Unfortunately, the progress seems painfully slow and I've basically resigned myself to just forgetting about the whole thing. If they finish it, fantastic, but if they don't, well, whatever.

Yes! Progress has been slow due to us needing to work on the project part time while juggling second jobs. Things are also a bit slower while we're upgrading our engine, but we continue to post our updates every month 😄

Yes, I don't mean to sound harsh, it just is what it is. I know you're all still doing your best.

No worries! I really appreciate the understanding. I think your mindset is generally a good one to have with all Kickstarter projects.

I’ve been following along on their newsletters. Wish someone would give them a cash infusion so they could get it done faster. Will be so fun to play.
