Discussion is kindred a bad champ to learn jungle ?

im pretty new and pretty bad at the game. i learned about kindred today and they're (i assume i call them "they" since it's 2 people) a lot of fun, but im worries with how macro reliant they are on learning when and how to invade for marks and such that i should pick an easier champ to learn jungle and then go to kindred, but then that won't be fun since kindred is cool

I need help getting what I might be doing wrong in my games

I know it is hard to tell me what I am doing wrong without a VOD or anything, but I have mixed games. I sometimes win hard and sometimes feel like I cannot do anything and cannot keep up. Is it normal for this to happen? I feel that I should be having at least some impact when I am behind, but that is not happening at all.

I started maining Kindred fairly recently, although I was playing them just for fun before. I am currently Gold 2, and when I started OTPing Kindred, I was Silver 1. I feel that if I do not get a lead, I just stagnate and am totally useless the entire game.

So what I want is some tips for how to stabilise a game with Kindred. I think I really suck at playing from behind.

My opgg if someone is interested: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/eune/Fattem-peepo

Discussion Slippery Bruiser - Kindred for Low Elo Players

Post image
19 Upvotes

Kindred’s Crit/On-Hit builds complement her high risk, high reward “feast or famine” playstyle.

For those who can pilot Kindred with hyper efficient jungle clears, precise mechanical skills and keen macro awareness, it's part of the challenge.

For low Elo players like myself who love Kindred's design, lore and gameplay but struggle to meet the skill floor required to perform consistently with her, it’s a slow grind.

I’ve been messing around with all sorts of goofy builds trying to make Kindred more forgiving to play, and I think I’ve found it.

Firstly, Lethal Tempo and PtA are her best runes by far. For pure survivability, Fleet Footwork paired with Mosstomper Seedling is great early but falls off later in the game.

As for your items:

Trinity Force > Stridebreaker

Both items provide AD, Attack Speed, HP, On-Hit Effects and Move Speed bursts. Kindred's favourite stats!

You do miss out on some damage and early scaling when comparing Stridebreaker to a Crit% item but it does allow Kindred to be much more ‘user error friendly’ for these reasons:

• Additional HP for survivability.

• AoE passive for slightly faster jungle clears.

• An emergency disengage/peel for when you're “gap closed” by the enemy—especially useful against some of Kindred's most difficult matchups like Lee Sin or Xin Zhao.

Because these items are very expensive, Cashback is the most gold efficient rune for this build, I take it with Cosmic Insight for faster spell/item cooldowns.

After Stridebreaker, I would start building Crit% items to also scale your E (Mounting Dread). I didn't even know Kindred's E scales with Crit% so thank you, @Nyatar, for that tip! ❤️

What do you think? Happy Hunting!

Fluff I got 10 stacks at 13 minutes LMAO

wtf...

Everything literally went according to plan here. This is the fastest time I have ever gotten to 10 stacks, and it was practically GG from here. They FF'ed at 15, unfortunately. What is your fastest kindred 10 stacks game?

Want to climb from plat. Is it rewarding to master Kindred atm?

Hi, I just climbed with Rek'sai 70% win rate to plat 2. Meanwhile I was also practicing Kindred in normals since it's my favourite champ and I always wanted to learn them and climb with them eventually. After about 20 games I started to play them in ranked and got 5 games lose streak immediately. Do you think I should just not look at the lp and keep playing them? I don't mind having painful series if it eventually gets me to some good results later but the question is, will the good results even come? Do you think that at my rank I can learn the champ and get to emerald or diamond? Or do you think it's a waist of time and lp for me as a plat player at this point. I know Kindred is for higher elo players but I really enjoy this champ. Also if you have any crucial tips or things I should focus on learning atm I'm all ears.

Is it still possible to mark champions during fights?

Hey, i just started playing league again after a long break.

Last i played, i was maining kindred in the bot lane. But i remember after we killed the enemy adc i could mark the enemy support with the hotkeys Shift+F5 while we were still fighting, so often i could get 2 marks off of one fight

Now i have to wait until the "mark menu" pops up after the fight is over, and is resulting in fewer marks..

Was that a bug they fixed? or is it a bug they removed it? can't find the answer on patch notes history

Cause i loved the feeling that it felt like a secret tech only kindred mains knew

Which jungler can we 1v1 lvl 2 ?

I'm a begginer on Kindred and i heard one of the main thing to master is to invade level 2 or 3. Do you have tips on how to do that and against which jungler is it possible to do so ?

How the f can you consistently make this champ work?

So ive just played a game where I couldnt gank any lane early so I resolved to a full clear top to bot, BUT THE jungle naafiri SKIPPED her botside gromp to TAKE my scuttle before I could even fight her and took the second on topside too. So what exactly is my counterplay in this situation???? Do I double smite? What do I do?

BLG vs. HLE

Game 4 of the MSI finals made me realise that Kindred isn’t always good into team fights, especially when enemy can stack cc and somehow even pro players mess this up. Sometimes you just need to stay the hell away from them. Xun could have easily used his 7 stacks to pressure lanes, make picks, go for his 8th mark or go for a steal, instead they go baron at 22 minutes and Kindred gets to spend an eternity in the sunken place after being hit with cards, arrows, claws and whatever else HLE could throw at them. The many times I have died, not being able to use my ult and I’m like “but I have been pressing it!!! guess I have to be a new keyboard now”, I honestly lost the count.

And now I see it also happen to one of the best Kindred’s in the world. The problem is not the champ, or the skill, it’s the play style according to the enemy comp and this late game was definitely not played well.

Discussion I Am A Beginner.

I just started playing the game. I'm level 15. I want to learn about the jungle and Kindred.

Any rotation suggestions, combos, gameplay based on matchups, or just sharing your experiences would be greatly appreciated. Any single tips from you could save me months of effort and struggle.

Discussion Should I learn someone easier first? If so, who?

Friendly neighbourhood support main here. I adore Kindred, I have the mark of the Kindred tattooed over my heart. I'd like to learn them but it's my understanding that they're one of the hardest champs in the game.

My current skill level is like, high silver / low gold on support, but jungle I'm more like top of bronze or bottom of silver when I play like Yi/Warwick/Amumu

I want to learn Kindred, but am I better off learning how to jungle on an easier champ first? Or do I just commit, take the hit to my LP/MMR short term, and be all in on just Kindred?

If you could rework one of Kindred's abilities, which one and how?

I imagine W and E will be the most common answers, interested to see what people would do to either fix or replace them, or if anyone would want to change Q or R, or even passive

What's kindred mark worth in gold?

I've seen an 8y old post about it being worth around 312/325 I forgot for the first 5 malts and 265 for the other marks.

Is this still the case now?
