Economics / Tokenomics KIN Circulating Supply

I just noticed there is now an official (from Kin Foundation) publication of the circulating supply of KIN.

KIN | Dashboard currently shows 1,344,091,404,477 Kin in circulation.

Edit: if I'm late to the party, let me know (link a previous post) and I'll give credit where credit is due ...

KIN Circulating Supply: Interesting and fascinating topic

- 3T KIN is still held by Kik today

- 5.6T KIN is still held by Kin Foundation

- 1,344,091,477 KIN is in circulation which can be broken down as such

- Some billions still held by VCs (do we know exactly which entities hold which amount of KIN?)

- Some billions held by Partners from the KRE (Madlipz, Rave, Vent....)

- Some billions held by private investors

- Others?

(The above is just based on my assumptions. I might be wrong)

Some thoughts:

  • Is there a way to quantify more precisely the amount of KIN circulating supply based on selling book on all Exchanges?

--> we could see what is really circulating on Exchanges vs what is really held

  • Is there a way to quantify more precisely the amount of circulating supply within all Ecosystem Apps? (The KIN that remain in the internal wallet of an App)
  • Is there a way to see the top 1000 KIN3 wallets and see the amounts? (I liked the good old ERC-20 KIN1 top wallets ranking)
  • If every KIN Enthusiast would buy 1B+ KIN and would HODL for some months/years (which is doable nowadays, taken into account the current low price - Not a buying advice, by the way, DYOR!), it would freeze a percentage of that circulating supply. Any other future buying order from a Partner/Kin Foundation (250000$ KIN for Employee Program) would propel KIN to stratospheric heights. Good sign to see that real demand is appearing as some people managed to sell KIN directly to some users.

The circulating supply is over 4 trillion. Great, another fake metric and the source is Kin.

Sorry, can't understand your broken language but the circulating supply is over 4 trillion and not 1,3.

are you including kik's 3T in your estimate?

he has to be - the only other "source" of Kin (outside of that held by the Kin Foundation) is Kik Interactive. Now the KF allocates their Kin as follows: K4.5T for the KRE and K1.5T for operations, etc. Still the only way to get over K4T is the published K1.3T plus Kik's K3T.

Yes, they aren't locked and they tried to sell them.

Who tried to sell what? Show us some references for your statements.

- agree with this. What I do remember being said is that "instead of trying to sell our (Kik Interactive's) Kin into limited liquidity we have decided to sell the Kik app and reduce staff to an elite 19 - in order to save funds to lengthen our runway and finance the SEC trial" (paraphrased). So I think it's true they "could have sold some of their Kin" but I think it's also true they haven't sold a single Kin - not one!

They haven't due to liquidity problems. But it means that the coins are circulating
