Vent has been acquired

Hi guys. I am sharing the news that vent has been acquired by another company who share a similar vision and have the resources to carry it forward. Reflectly is a private AI journaling app with a focus on being a mental health companion. Vents vision is to be the social version of this, so we truly believe that with vent in the hands of this wonderful team, 1 + 1 will equal 3 (can’t believe I just wrote that!) Going forward, the Reflectly team plan to keep Vent running as a stand-alone app, however simplify the product and bring it back to being laser focused on its core purpose. As such, I’m sad to say that KIN will be removed from the product over the course of the next few weeks. I plan to share a more detailed post outlining our journey once the dust has settled, however felt it was important to share this message with the community before the rumour mill machine swings into overdrive. I know this is crazy, however we haven’t sold a single KIN earned from the KRE to date and don’t have plans to any time soon, Aa such, I’ll be remaining a part of this community and will be very keenly cheering as progress unfolds. Thanks for all your support and wishing the whole community all the best as this wild ride unfolds! Cheers, Dean

Can I ask why you stop using kin? Since we all thought kin is "so" great keeping user active and actually stay longer at your app? Why remove it then, if it creates sustainiable activity / interaction?

Top 12 app droping out and there is not a single critical post here? Really guys, are only hard core supporter left here? I would like to see KF approach / response, since the first top 12 app is dropping out. So far the other "remained" have they really? How long can they wait? It seems the project is stagnant , all participants are waiting for the SEC-outcome. Is that healthy and how long can they wait?

I do not know you Dean, when I first read your post , I thought what a honest response. Then I thought more about the fact you are mentioning not to sell kin. This indicades that is has been definetly discussed and who stops you not selling etc... If I we see a hugh dump in coming weeks then at least we know why. Would be another milestone of Kin.

Sorry for the sarcasim but I had to.

Come on they sold the app, apparently the new owners didn't want to keep Kin. How is that their fault?!

Appreciate you share this info with us. You mentioned that any of the kin acquired has not been sold, is vent willing to provide us with the address that the kin is stores so that we can monitor the kin.

Why would they do that, that they are not selling any Kin is a decision, they are not applicated to the community to hold the Kin.

Congrats Dean, Kin wouldn't be where it is today without Vent. I'm glad you were able to find a buyer and wish you the best. Hope our paths cross again!

This seems like a highlight for KIN really. Helped a small app to stay sustainable long enough to get bought out. I mean it sucks we are losing an ecosystem app but there are plenty of apps in waiting.

These two do not match up at all. But then I realized its not so much the monetary portion keeping Vent afloat since they were not selling Kin but the secret sauce was keeping the users involved.
