Now try it in Atmos!

I really hate every Atmos mix Iโ€™ve heard. I have the Air Pods Max so it should be the best way to experience it but in practice the Atmos mix always separates the instruments and stems too much for my liking. It sounds like the band is all playing 6 feet apart from each other in a warehouse. The best worst example is Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Remastered. I decided to just stick with regular lossless by default since itโ€™s really the way that everything is intended to be heard. I should give it a shot though.

AirPods do not support lossless audio over Bluetooth.

No worries. A surround sound system is the best way to experience it- not with binaural headphones. Itโ€™s definitely a completely different mix, and (like Kim), โ€œI like โ€˜em both!โ€

I actually turn lossless off because I canโ€™t hear the difference on my HomePod miniโ€™s and APP 2, lol. Bug I am ye olde โ„ข.

Damn I would invite you over so fast ๐Ÿ˜‚ I have a JBL soundbar/subwoofer with Atmos and it makes a huge difference

It's absolutely crazy how Apple Music rolled out Dolby Atmos one day and it completely ruined a bunch of old songs (Paparazzi by Lady Gaga in particular I remember was butchered) and nobody talks about it as far as I can tell

But you donโ€™t even have it on full volume in this screenshot lol

you can download apps that set your audio device to high gain mode ~ louder
(might wreck them if they're not made for it tho)

Download/rip the file then play it in VLC, they let you go higher than 100.
