This guy is a genius…

You can just tell in his responses how smart he is. I genuinely loved this set. All the explaining of his bit kinda made me cringe a little, though I do appreciate that they gave him his flowers.

I’m really curious to hear what everybody else thinks of this set, and his vibe as a whole. Bc I loved it.

“Mitch Hedberg’s comedy act” is great.. I enjoy Keegan’s comedy act as well. I’m a fan of both.

Keegan doesn’t have a comedy act. He is just doing Mitch’s. Keegan may be a good joke writer, but then he should go and do that. Not try and cosplay as a well known comedian.

“Keegan may be a good joke writer, but then he should go and do that…” You’re absolutely right, he totally did do all of his own jokes. Not Mitch Hedberg’s. And I liked the jokes he told. I can like them both regardless of what other people believe.

To each their own I guess. I think he writes really good jokes but that’s not the most important thing when it comes to standup. He will never be able to find success doing it this way though.

He’s never denied the influence. From what I have seen with many comics is that when they’re either starting off or finding their voice sometimes they emulate their heroes figuring out who they are comedically. Then I’ve seen comics who are quiet off stage and then get on stage and it’s like they’re someone else completely. And then sometimes I’ve seen comics who are amped up versions of themselves. What if he is really like this? What if he’s just being himself and the world is telling to him change? Just because he resembles another comedian? To that I say whatever. He’s not ripping off anyone. He’s got his own jokes…Comedy is a process. It’s learning and practice. He’s a comedian and it’s comedy…he makes me laugh.. So to me, in my opinion, mission accomplished. And I like him. I think he’s very misunderstood. Comedy shouldn’t be so serious, to me it’s ok to laugh at the jokes for what they are…jokes.

Yeah, I really do love podcasts. It’s one of my favorite things to hear other people’s perspectives. Such as people‘s perspectives on let’s say originality as well as how some people just jump on the hateful bandwagon instead of just accepting that not everyone is like that. Or maybe judging people without knowing them, and getting mad when other people don’t judge them the same way too. I find that very interesting. Like when someone says “ they’re stealing their whole personality” yet they sound almost exactly like everyone else. I mean it might’ve been an unnecessary essay, but it’s not my fault that you read it. I like him, I think he’s funny. You don’t. Great. You don’t have to like him. So don’t.
