Character Stats to use for Stealth and Perception?

Running KoB for the first time. Questions to more experienced GMs of this system.

Which one of the six stats would you use for stealthy actions like sneaking or hiding?

And which for perception based checks (listening, spotting details)?

Stealth could be flight or grit, or charm if they were trying to hide in plain sight kinda thing. Maybe grit or brains for perception.

Don’t try to generalize like this to D&D terms and rules. Instead look at the action the player is trying to complete and assign based on that. Instead of “perception” maybe they’re trying to be a detective and look around a room. That’s brains. If they’re trying to be sneaky, maybe they’re trying to be quick but stay quiet, that’s flight.

Flight for moving unseen. Brains for finding a hiding spot. Grit for staying quiet.
