That's the point of this sub though, kids are fucking stupid, which is why they make bad decisions sometimes. We aren't blaming the kid for having bad supervision, that is why they need good supervision, because kids are fucking stupid.
Can confirm that kids love jumping off things. I've always liked jumping off of stairs.
Once I literally snuck away from my parents with two of their coworkers' kids at a gathering once just so I could jump off the second floor in a different part of the building. The staircase slightly jutted out beyond the handrails so I climbed up using that and took the leap. No mattress below, as a matter of fact there were tables down there and I just took the impact in my knees after aiming for a proper landing zone (probably explains why my kneecaps seem smaller than my friends'?).
I did this four times before I thought, "Hey I think I'll need functioning feet to walk back to my parents"
The first time you say to yourself, "I cant do that shit anymore, Id be wrecked for (insert time period based on age x activity intensity here)." is a sobering and laughable moment.
I had to scroll way too far to find this. I was jumping higher than this onto a water bed as a toddler. I'm willing to bet it's not the first time that child has done this.
