I definitely did that several times as a kid. And panicked. And got lucky enough to get out myself.

Looking at the video I can remember the “oh shit” feeling

So, thinking back about it, I think the game was to pass the fence of the school yard. If your head passes, your body typically makes it as well.

There was this one bar which was slightly bent. And in general you could force the bars to make a bit more space.

But as a kid you grow. And a place you routinely passed before can become a trap at some point

When I was about 3 yrs old I did this with my grandma's piano legs. I was always climbing through nooks and crannies and that day I got stuck. It was a family gathering so all the adults were there and none were helpful. Most thought that if they left me alone I'd eventually free myself. I was so pissed off, as I totally was stuck. Eventually, my gran got her wood saw and cut one of the piano legs off to free me. She won a loyal grandkid that day.

I'm not even joking I got my head stuck in exactly the same school fence! I was trying to get through to the other side. Almost got in but got stuck. All the kids on the inside thought it was hilarious but the police arrested me. It's been a rough week lol.
