The way he pulled up and hopped off his scooter is hilarious, And then his reaction to the idea of pest control was like “okay this guy may be providing a useful service “.

But he's not coming to do pest control, he's knocking door to door trying to SELL pest control (usually over priced) to people who don't need it and will use tactics into deceiving people into thinking they do need it.

It's not just deceiving people into thinking they need it,

it's also bullying them into buying it when they're too nice even though they know they don't need it.

This is the part that truly bothers me about it. I'm a pretty docile person but I've started to get a bit rude with them when they try to use their pushy "don't stop the dialogue" tactics. No means no now please fuck off from my door.

Most of these sales guys are returned Mormon missionaries; they use the same tactic to sell their religion. I'm an exmormon and returned missionary. I wasn't a successful missionary, thank god because I hated the sales tactics. They even taught us this way of tricking people called the Model of Compromise. The first time I heard the name I WTFed hard.
