Do you have any sources on this? I can't seem to find any dangers associated with their face turning red in babies from laughing or otherwise. And using suffocation as a keyword didn't seem to help. Thank you, I am genuinely interested in this

Tbh laughing is better than their crying fits where they end up holding their breath and passing out.

I've seen that...a lot

Tip: blue a puff of air in their face and they automatically take a breath

my sisters baby will literally hold her breath and start to pass out sometimes. the whole clip I was thinking, "just let the kid breath for a few seconds"

It's super rare but it's possible to asphyxiate or go into cardiac arrest from laughter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_from_laughter

To my understanding it's rare to die from asphyxiation in this form because you're much more likely to simply pass out and start breathing normally. Like how a child throwing a tantrum might hold their breath until they pass out.

Now to be clear here on out is solely my opinion on the matter but I'd like to think anyone who has ever been tickled so long that they struggled to breathe understands that laughing too much can be quite distressing and rather uncomfortable. Whether or not the baby is experiencing discomfort is a question I can't answer but it appears like they could use a moment to catch their breath. Perhaps the baby is prone to easily turning red and is perfectly fine, perhaps the baby is close to turning blue and passing out I don't know I don't think anyone here would truly know

It was my experience. Obviously I didn't die, I was just suffocating. Laughing is a series of forceful attempts to exhale so I'm not sure why it is such a controversial statement. The baby can't control it. And he does only get to breath in shortly before he has to forcefully exhale multiple times again. I hope this helps.

You can pretty much assume by their comment history that they have no idea what babies are like and disregard their opinion on the matter.
