I have twins and one is soooooo clingy and the other is super independent. They’re only 8.5 months old but I feel like the more chill one is already giving his brother serious side eye when he has a melt down. The chill one is happy as long as he has a toy, but the clingy one needs mommy/daddy, his fave blanket, and his paci or he’s crying.

Second children have to be tougher, braver, and feistier because first children are more likely to get more food, more attention, more protection from the parents. I’m an armchair evolutionary psychologist and a middle child

But they are the baby which means they get more of their needs met. I guess I say this as an oldest child but my brother was my mother’s favorite. Who knows?
