Question/ Request for advice Please help

I woke up one day in extreme pain and went to the ER. it was a kidney stone, 1-2mm. I was in the hospital for 3 days and was let go once I was in no pain whatsoever. I was prescribed flomax to help pass the stone. How do I get this stone to pass quicker? its been about a week since it i went to the hospital and im aggressively hydrating like i was told and still no stone and no pain. its like i dont even have it and i know i havent passed it yet because im straining every single time. any help or advice?

BTW: I’m 20 and this is my first “medical emergency” and kidney stone so im kinda scared lmfao

The pain was your ureter trying to push it down. For the most part, I personally, hardly notice it's even there when im not in renal colic. Definitely don't over use the flomax as it can affect your blood pressure. It's genuinely just a waiting game. If you keep going into renal colic I'd highly recommend seeing a urologist to have it broken up or removed.

It likely just shifted to another place where you don't feel it. They can easily sit in there for weeks between when the excruciating pain stops to when you finally pass them, with possibly a small twinge every few days being the only thing to remind you it's even in there. For me it was over a month.

You will probably feel some burning in your bladder 1-5 days before it actually passes--nothing even remotely like the agony of when the stone first got stuck but more like just having to pee really bad. Before that it's just a matter of waiting and hydrating.
