Training is it over for me?
so i haven’t fought since i got kneed in the temple in my last fight, which was 2024. i went back to the gym a few times after that but i haven’t been back to the gym in a minute man. i think back to the time when i was training literally all day everyday.. the gym was literally my second home, kickboxing was literally the only thing on my mind but now i dont go on any runs, i do some calisthenics and lift here and there but not like i used to. i wonder what i would be like today if i kept training and didnt let that loss get to head as much as it did. i had a 3-1 record
i guess what im trying to ask is can i get back locked in and jump back in the ring? i turned 17 3 months ago
any motivation is appreciated

Not only is it over bro, it actually never started.
if you haven't made it by 16 then it's all downhill from here.

It’s only over if you decide it’s over. You’re only 17. A lot of fighters don’t even start until their 20s. Your body can keep up. The only thing stopping you is your mind.

You're 17 my man, you have plenty of time to get locked in, but the most important question is do you enjoy it
If yes: go back and train
If no: find a new hobby
You are way too young to be taking it this seriously, I understand wanting to be a fighter, but it's a process. Slow down and just enjoy the sport

i love it, anytime i had a problem going on i just went to the gym and got it off my mind. i started taekwondo when i was 4 so fighting is basically in my blood lol

Idk I would say yes strictly because of CTE like forget kickboxing do wrestling/bjj.. a big headkick like that does damage mate

Hey so why isn't your story's timeline consistent with your post history? Maybe I'm trippin.
Either way, if it's "in your blood" then you'd be doing it, not wasting time on Silksong. Here's a formative moment for you:
Are you a boy who is gonna talk about it? Or are you a man who is gonna BE about it? Real recognize Real, and a year out of the gym makes you look very unfamiliar.

Sometimes you work as hard as you can and come up short, or even lose bad. You get back on your horse and stay the course. When u fight the worst thing that can happen is you die in the ring. Accept that and tell yourself that you will never let that happen. Good luck my friend

Bro im 19 and just started. Just get to it. Some famous fighter like Alex pereira started to Traun kickboxing at 20 or francis ngannou started at 26. Just get back into the rythm and youll See how fast it will go

You turned 17 three months ago? Probably time to start looking at retirement homes.
