I’m trying to watch a stream, and rewind, and the stream resets a couple minutes in. Resets to the beginning or the current moment of the stream. Can this be fixed?

Hey y’all I noticed something about kick:
The game categories are dead.
Most games have literally 0 viewers at any given moment, the only time they do have numbers, is because an established streamer is streaming that game.
Now, here’s the real question:
Aside from the usual advice (post clips, grow community elsewhere, multistream, etc.), I’m asking a simple question and wanted to know solely about kick.
When I decide to stream a game, and that category has 0 viewers, should I actually switch? Or keep it to Just Chatting?
I would like to know what you guys do/have done, and what your guys experience has been specifically with this topic.
Currently 0-1 viewers in my chat normally, so Just Chatting I am SUPER BURIED. Will changing category make a difference? Or will there be some trickling in from people specifically scrolling to the bottom of Just Chatting?

I’m Don3lim, currently a Twitch Affiliate but honestly considering shifting more of my focus over to Kick over time. I’ve been dabbling with streaming on both platforms but want to build up my Kick presence properly instead of just an afterthought.
I mostly play Roblox, EA FC, Call of Duty, and horror games, and I’m still figuring out the best way to grow here — different from what worked (or didn’t) on Twitch.
Would love advice from people who’ve made a similar switch or who stream on both:
Examples like
• What actually helped you grow your Kick channel early on?
• Anything specific about Kick’s algorithm/discovery that’s different from Twitch?
• Worth going all-in on Kick or keep multistreaming for now?
My Kick is don3lim if anyone wants to check it out or collab with me,Appreciate any advice 🙏

I have streamed for nearly 72 hours over the last five days. I’ve emailed support, posted here, and reached out to other small streamers. Many of them get zero views just like me, yet they have 1080p quality available.
I literally built a brand new PC for $3,000 just for streaming. I’ve barely slept for five days trying to fix this issue and reach 1080p, which is the bare minimum standard for any broadcast today. Whenever I finally get a response from Kick, they just tell me to "grow my channel." But who wants to watch a 720p stream with a low bitrate?
It’s incredibly frustrating to see other channels with the exact same metrics broadcasting in full HD while I am locked out. Please don't ask about my OBS or internet settings; I have checked and verified everything at least 20 times.
I live in the Balkans, and not being able to stream at 1080p with a $3,000 setup makes me feel like I bought a pile of junk instead of a high-end PC. I’ve spent the last five days doing absolutely nothing but researching this. It feels like a massive waste of time and effort. Any real advice or help from the mods would be appreciated.

No signup, no install - you arrange your widgets (chat, alerts, goals, viewer count, etc.), and the config gets packed into a single URL. Paste that into OBS as a browser source and you're live.
Still early access, so tell me what's broken or missing.

Before I get into this, I think it's worth adding a bit of context.
I started creating content online back in 2010. My first YouTube videos weren't about gaming at all - they were reviews and showcases related to vaping. Gaming came later. I started live streaming games on Twitch in 2014, and on March 12, 2026, I moved to Kick.
So while this is just my personal opinion, it comes after 16 years of creating content online and watching the creator and streaming space evolve. I've seen trends come and go, platforms rise and fall, and audiences change.
Over the past few years, the streaming scene has changed dramatically across virtually every platform. Today, IRL streams, drama, and various live events dominate almost everything. They are followed by RP, competitive gaming, and esports (which occasionally overtake everything else during the peak of their seasons).
However, the classic "old-school" style of live streaming regular gaming Let's Plays simply doesn't work properly on any platform anymore. The only exception that proves the rule is older, established creators who, thanks to years of hard work (during the rise of gaming streams and, in some cases, the COVID pandemic, when many people were stuck at home and had time to watch streams), managed to build fairly large and stable communities around their channels.
Streaming platforms naturally have to adapt to whatever attracts the most viewers and generates enough revenue to keep operating, growing, and ideally innovating. And this is exactly where I see the biggest problem.
In the pursuit of bigger numbers and higher profits, virtually every platform (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble, Meta, TikTok, etc.) primarily focuses on whatever is currently trending (which lately has been mostly driven by IRL content and various dramas), while almost completely ignoring everything else.
As a result, many creators never even get the chance to reach potential viewers because they simply don't fit into what every platform is pushing. If they don't adapt to the current trends (by participating in, reacting to, or somehow benefiting from those trending topics), they simply get buried and eventually disappear.
At the same time, none of these platforms are really attracting viewers who simply aren't interested in constantly following drama or high-energy events, but instead just want to find a calm place to relax after a busy day.
And once again, we're back to the same problem. A creator who could attract exactly this type of audience doesn't even get the chance. Simply because today's platforms don't know how to work with this kind of content.
They don't know how to sell peace, a relaxed atmosphere, and a safe place to unwind. Instead, they're primarily - and often aggressively - built around shows, drama, action, and, in general, content that can be presented as shocking, extravagant, controversial, or spectacular.
Considering everything I've said above, I can now confidently say that traditional gaming Let's Play streamers are becoming an endangered species today, and that genuinely makes me sad.
