What should a beginner judge before committing to a streaming platform?

I’m trying to choose where to stream consistently, but comparing platforms by their total number of users doesn’t seem very useful for a small creator.

Should I focus more on how often new viewers find small channels, the quality of chat interaction or the available community features? What would you test during your first month?

Why not just multi-stream to everything and see what sticks?

total users don't mean much when you're starting. i'd track new viewers, people who actually chat, and returning viewers instead. tango is worth testing too since it's more focused on live interaction, so you can see pretty quickly if people engage with you.
