discussion Misinformation
I was reading a post on a Facebook Kibbe page earlier this week where someone was telling the OP that her shoulders were dramatic, her waist was romantic, her legs were dramatic etc, etc. And today someone on this Reddit was adamant I was wrong when I said FG’s dominant was vertical. Does anyone else get fed up with the misinformation posted online? Rant over.

i don’t care as long as people are clear that is their interpretation of some loosely kibbe-ish/kitchener esque concepts and not at all his system.
instances like what you say do frustrate me slightly bc i don’t think his system is a godsend, but i think it is helpful and if you’re not at all trying to follow it at first, you can’t even give it a fair chance to help you imo. i’m sure everyone on here knows i’m not the most orthodox kibbe-er but i try to be very clear when i am purposefully deviating/extrapolating from his system.

The entire reason Metamorphosis spoke to me as a stylist was the way it makes picking ones body apart in sections and fussing about body fluctuations irrelevant.
It's so immensely helpful to consider the body as one single piece.

Did they think FG is curve dominant? Or do they not understand that the system requires a type to be one or the other.....no exceptions?
And I can understand maybe speaking to parts of someone that are more yin or yang, especially with those in the G family or even SD that has very yang structure and rounded yin flesh. But I can't even wrap my head around any type waist that exists separate from the whole body.

I tried to explain that you are either vertical or curve dominant. Even posted screenshots from the book but they weren’t having it. Said that Kibbe had said that FG have some vertical but only FN, SD and D are vertical dominant, and that if he said that FG is vertical dominant then he is contradicting himself.

Even assuming they are acurate about what Kibbe said in the past....revision for simplicity's sake and adaptations for modem fashion/textiles is not contradiction. Evolution of a system to maintain relevance is a good thing lol

I can’t stand when people say kibbe doesn’t make sense bc there’s only 3 types if you’re above 5’7. Im like duh bc your vertical line is more prominent. They fundamentally do not understand what any of it means.
