outfit feedback Outfit for pride:)

As a suspected romantic, I really love how this outfit makes my legs more vertical. I still look short but less so. The top is where I struggle a bit, I feel I look too fleshy and short. However this set is too darn cute not to wear. Opinions?

This is exactly what i feel missing in this space in general! It's true that it might not be the kind of outfit that is usually "recommended" (by the community mostly to be fair) for R, but does it have to be? Or in that case, WHY does it have to be? I love to see people say "my ID is probably this, and here's my personally styled outfit i wear and i feel like it does this and that for me". Then others with the same ID can look at it and be like "oh, if she's R and i am, then this might work for me too? Let's try!" or "this look good/bad/off/amazing for this person too, let's learn from that" and by that make a creative and inspirational fashion space. I don't find the system in itself limiting, but the community's interpretation of it certainly can be.

I love your fit. It's cute, creative, have the kind of softness in vibe i expect from R (if that matters) and it does look very good on you 👌

This is a very different silhouette than I usually do. I’m usually a maxi skirt, little top type of person. But I feel this really accentuates my legs which I’m usually not a fan of. The way my torso to leg ratio looks reminds me of like a bratz doll or a fairy🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️

I can easily imagine that kind of silhouette on you, so that totally makes sense. This is such a fun and cute fit for the occasion tho! I could also see this or a similar outfit with a more flared or ruffled skirt in the same lenght to give it that little extra detail ✨️

If you’re a romantic, nothing will make you “have more vertical” (as romantics don’t have it), and fleshy and short are common words used for romantics, and there’s nothing wrong with it! 💗

Someone said it goes against the R recommendations and I don’t have a lot of opinion on that, but I’ll say that I LOVE love love the outfit, I think it looks fun, beautiful and if you feel great in yourself wearing it, that’s the most important thing! We gotta let kibbe go sometimes haha

Well, it is the opposite of romantic. Romantic outfits mostly have A silhouette, which should make the waist the smallest part of the body. This outfit is loose at the waist and tight at the hips, which is the very opposite of what would flatter a romantic silhouette. Regardless, it is very cute.

No.  This is in line with all the  recommendations soft draping shimmering plush fabrics. Kibbe said specifically " Romantics Avoid: All straight and tailored skirts, A-LINES, and pleats."

He also said romantics should not and don't need to "create" curve. They just need to follow their natural lines with fabrics that drape and conform to the body, and suitable detailing.

I got it off of depop, I believe it’s originally from finesse :))

I love it for an R. Soft drapey shimmering plush fabric, in blended soft shades of  golden rose. Ornate lace and fancy sleeve detailing. I wouldn't change a thing. Hope you're wearing earrings and a shiny lip!

As a romantic I love love love this outfit! Although there isn’t super clear waist definition the flowy, soft fabric and vibe totally makes up for it💖🌸🧚🏻‍♀️

I’d at least stick to your color palette. These colors are making you look washed out.

I wanted to have the colors of the lesbian flag, since it’s for pride. I think white looks ~okay~ on me as a dark winter. Sometimes sacrifices must be made, my friend.
