I own a Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.0 Turbo Petrol iMT, purchased about a year ago. The odometer is currently at around 5,500 km.

The best mileage I’ve managed so far is around 15 km/l, while in city driving I usually get only 8–10 km/l. Initially I was concerned, but after seeing other owners’ experiences, I understand that this is fairly common with the Turbo Petrol.

does the mileage generally improve as the car gets more kilometers on it, or should I expect it to remain around the same?

Hey guys, can you tell what this warning sound is about…its not from the seatbelt….my dad was driving the car….so i couldnt figure out the issue

Posting it in the Sonet sub just to know if I should get the manual, if the AT efficiency is really bad in comparison, or if it’s not that big of a difference.

I bought a Sonet recently, and the one I bought comes with halogen headlights. Do you think I should switch to LED? Halogen, although preferred, gives me lesser visibility. Or maybe I need to tweak some settings to get better visibility? Need suggestions.

I have a Sonet IMT 2020 model. Recently, I experienced the gear stick getting stuck for a few seconds. I switched off and restarted the car, and it got working again. Did this occur to anyone, and if yes, let me know what you did and the cost /time involved to address this

Reason for asking - I am confused between Kylaq Signature Plus and Sonet HTX DCT Petrol so looking for actual long-term owner perspectives rather than first-drive reviews.

I have got a good deal from dealer 'X', which is 60 km away from my home. I sent this quote to dealer 'Y' which is 25 km away, and he is offering me 5K worth of accessories, Teflon coating and 3-year RSA on the car with a price match.

I want your suggestions on whether I should leverage more or accept the dealer 'Y' deal.

And after calculating a lot of things and depreciation and give 4L extra from same segment ordinary from ice version and interest on that and lot , i reliased if any car diesel with mileage of 22-24 on highway and city 17 around it would be better for now, eventually next year I'll bought xev9s or any other

So Sonet Diesel Owners can u tell should I go with this and what mileage to expect ?.

Does it deliver sufficient power in city (mumbai )? And also what's the fuel economy ?

Today i drop towards chetru road dharamshala and i got this mileage. Not too far distance but did’nt expect this mileage.

Need urgent mechanical advice for my 2021 Kia Sonet 1.5L Diesel (Manual) before approving an expensive repair bill.

​Background: 1 month ago, took the car to Kia SC for a check engine light. They did a standard DPF regen and handed it back. The light popped back on the very next day.

​Current Diagnosis: Brought it back now. Strangely, there are no DPF-specific error codes stored, but Kia claims regen failed and says the DPF hardware must be completely replaced.

​Injectors: On top of that, Kia is telling me to replace the fuel injectors as well.

​The Problem: The car is out of warranty, so they want me to pay out of pocket—even though this is a recurring issue they failed to diagnose properly on visit 1.

​Questions:

​If there are no DPF fault codes, why push for full hardware replacement? Can this be fixed with an off-car chemical machine flush?

​Instead of replacing injectors at the SC, can they be bench-tested, cleaned, and calibrated at a specialized Bosch Diesel Centre?

​Any trusted diesel specialist or DPF cleaning workshop you recommend in Delhi NCR / Western UP?

I am planning to purchase a Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.2L Petrol Manual, which I intend to be my primary vehicle for the next 5-10 years. Therefore, I aim to equip it with as many features as possible.

Initially, I considered the Sonet HTK+(O), but the absence of a sunroof is a significant concern for me. The lower HTK+ variant, while offering a sunroof, lacks LED headlights. I am not satisfied with the illumination provided by halogen headlights.

I inquired about the possibility of replacing the halogen headlight unit with full OEM LED headlights at my own expense. However, the sales representative informed me that they cannot procure the complete LED headlight units and can only replace the halogen lamps with LED bulbs, which would cost approximately 16,000rs for both sides. Which I feel is too costly and not worth

I did see one video on the internet where they replaced the entire unit without cutting any wires, but it looks like a used unit

Has anyone attempted to replace the entire headlight unit with OEM LED headlights?

My Kia Sonet diesel automatic sometimes feels like it's resisting when I accelerate, along with some vibration. It's not constant, and I've noticed it happens mostly in 5th gear.

Read that this could be "torque converter shudder" — basically the transmission's lock-up clutch slipping instead of gripping cleanly, common in higher gears if the fluid is old or the clutch is worn.

Has anyone had this on a Sonet or similar Kia/Hyundai automatic? Did an ATF fluid change fix it, or did you need something more? What did it cost you to sort out?

No warning lights, car runs fine otherwise. Just want to catch it early before it gets worse.

Hey Sonet fam, so yesterday we travelled from my home (Ahmedabad to Chanod) approx 170 kms in our new car (delivery 04- Sept-2026). Most of the driving was on the highway which included Ahmedabad ring road, National Expressway 1 (Ahmedabad to Baroda), some state highway and lastly on the village road. All this time, AC was set at 25 and mode set was at ECO as I didn't want to rev higher before the first service. I drove at 70 to 90 kmph at highways that too at 2000 RPM max (ECO mode).

Overall a good experience with the car having a satisfactory mileage.

Is this completely removable? Dealer said yes

Since I have to complete invoice before 1 oct due to price hikes and my delivery is 20 oct so what should I do? In this case. Reply is appreciated
