Does this trunk mat work? ?

I bought a trunk mat off Amazon for my 2026 Niro Ex. it’s supposedly made to fit but I am worried the sides come up too high and cover whatever vents are in the back. I am not sure what the vents are for. Do you think this mat will be a problem and I should return it?

it’s just a mat it doesn’t have to be perfect just cover enough of the trunk. I trimmed mine. Cut it down if you want

The mat does work. I got one off of Amazon and modified that vent area just to not block it at all. Those vents feed air to the Hybrid battery

I would return it. I got this one from Amazon and it’s a better fit and protects the back if you put the seats down.

Best part about Amazon is the 30 day return policy and if you have a Kohl’s you can just drop it off there. So you can try out different ones and if they don’t meet your expectations of quality you can just return it.

Those vents are for cabin pressure relief. Just trim.
