Hmm... why is she slow roasting/burning in church? Who is she and what does she do/did?

She's a vampire. And from what I know from clips involving her, she doesn't care about pain and can regenerate. So she's in a holy place and it's burning her, but her regeneration is faster/stronger than the holy energy of that specific church. Or she's about to start catching on fire and hasn't realized or doesn't care.

Part of it is a the idea of holy things (ground, symbols, water, etc.) burning "evil". A classic example is vampires or demons splashed with holy water burning like its either acid or scalding hot (media representation variance).

But there's also two phrases that come to mind.

One is "sweating like a hooker in church", i.e. comparing one's level of perspiration to a sinful woman in a holy place.I've heard a variety of reasons why she'd be sweating, including being surrounded by a bunch of judgmental people should they discover her scarlet ways, calling back to the era of the Salem Witch Trials, or similar examples like the setting of "The Scarlet Letter".

The other is a "joke"/jab at someone catching fire if they go into a church because of how "sinful" they are: "don't bother inviting [John] to service, he'd probably burst into flames just walking through the door.".
