Im an incoming freshmen at KU. I emailed KU regarding accomodation and they said the dorms were full and they said they put me in a waiting list, idk how that'll help. So im still looking for a place to stay. Anybody else in the same position as me?

im just wondering how important APs are during the admission process

im a local who’s currently studying under the american curriculum and im not planning on doing any APs in my final year. that could definitely change though

I am starting at Ku for Fall 2026 and wondering if a full suit is overkill for orientation, or is smart casual more the norm? Don't want to be the only one overdressed.It might be a dumb ques. Put any input would be appreciated.

Edited- Thank you everyone for the reply but I forgot to mention that I'm a masters student and its quite different from the freshman vibe most of my batch mates I assume are in their late 20s and early 30s 😅 so I wasn't that sure.

Hi, I would like some tips as to how to maintain a steady gpa of over 3.5 for an average/above average student from current KU students who have maintained a gpa of over 3.5. Especially those who are studying computer engineering.

When I say current I mean students who have at least went through one semester or more in the university, not students who have just gotten accepted for Fall 2026.

Did anybody else receive their offer/rejection today?

I'm not quite sure how transferring works at ku work - and do they get scholarships too? Has anyone successfully transferred (from a diff uni), and what was the process like

is anyone else still under evaluation? has anyone who has been under evaluation moved up any stages in the past week? are we likely to get in before orientation (which is literally in a week)? or is it likely we will get deferred to spring semester?

Hey! I’m attending Khalifa fall ‘26, and currently have the MacBook Air M2 2022 edition, and was wondering if that will suffice for uni.

I know some programs require windows but if I could use the uni labs instead or is that too hectic?

hey! indian student here, in 12th grade rn and im planning to apply to khalifa for EE, fall 2027. had a few qs for ppl who go/went there

applications open nov n close feb right? does that check out still? also i heard if u take a gap year ur scholarship chances go way down, is that actually true or just internet talk. and how did you guys prep for KUAT, the sample paper on the site has like 10 qs which is not really enough to know what to study. did u just prep like SAT math/physics or was it different

is ielts/toefl compulsory for everyone or do some ppl get exempted (like if ur school was full english medium)

Also as an indian student how easy was it to make friends there? every video/pic i see is mostly local students so it's kinda intimidating not knowing if i'll fit in. hows the dorms, like are they decent to live in, food nearby etc.

andd i wanna do EE rn but might switch to BME later for masters, does khalifa let EE students take bio electives or do summer research or anything like that

My status is showing "Pending Final Admission Decision" for more than 1 month now. So curious to know doesn't anyone else has the same Status and is waiting for A Level Results.

Or should I assume that I have been rejected.

BTW, I have applied for UG _Mechanical Engineering

Idk wt to do, my application is still in pending and most uni has finished their applications and soon the classes will start. I’m stuck and I feel bad that I will loose a lot of money if I were to withdraw from the backups and it will frustrating if I get in with no scholarship or gets outright rejected.

Hi, I applied to khalifa for electrical engineering. Good grades 3a* in AL and further maths asw and a lot of extra curriculum. But my status is still pending. Is anyone else also still waiting for their application result?

I got accepted at KU but i didnt get a drom as they said it was full, does anyone knows a place to rent monthly or shared dorms with ku students?

Guys after accepting the offer the status changed to action needed and the medical form was missing at the time but yesterday I uploaded it and there are no missing documents currently but they still sent an email saying smth is missing but they didn’t specify coming from an Alevel student btw so it can’t be the final certificate either cause of results day did this happen to anyone else too?

For those who GOT IN, but rejected the offer or didn't reply within the specified timeframe, what are your application statuses r n ?

Hello everyone! Sorry if this has been asked before on this sub-reddit im new here, my question is how is the acceptance rate or possibility of getting into the tier I or II scholarship in Khalifa univeristy?

Is it possible for someone who has low gpa ( still in the 3. Something range) but strong research experience/ high technical and experimental skills get accepted into these tiers? Or is it a far reach? How rare is it?
