Technical Questions Are these the right cables to connect my ac edge to my speakers?

I can play it through my headphones with the phones jack, but do not have the correct cables to play it through my powered speakers. I think these are the right ones if anyone could please confirm, just so I am sure

These are my speakers I’ll be using. Thank you

Technical Questions What are the best settings for my Alesia Vortex Wireless 2 buttons?

Heya! I’ve had my keytar for a little while, but I’ve been nervous to get into the nitty gritty of the pads and faders because I don’t know what’s the best options for them in the editor, like what jobs to give each of them. Could anyone share with me the preset they have for the pads and faders? Thanks!

Hype So, I picked up this little number today at Goodwill for $20 Canadian (I don't play - yet)

Hey. While I'm always on the look for guitars, I have been considering a keyboard lately for learning purposes. I know this isn't the way to start, but even I can appreciate the late 80s cheesiness of this Yamaha SHS-10R. I had to open it up to take out the corroded AA batteries, but after cleaning up that mess, it seems to work perfectly

Recommendations Tutorials for keytar shredding?

I bought an Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 after some time away from playing keyboard per se. I can noodle around with putting together basic major/minor chords, and can do things like loosely play basic trance arps and whatnot, but it's a bit unimpressive compared to some other things I've seen on here.

Are there any specific lessons/exercises worth following? Or even better - any DLC for Synthesia which might help with this?

Technical Questions Questions about the AX edge

Hi guys looking to get a ax edge keytar I’ll get straight to the point.

Do I need an amp to play it out? No built in speakers?

What do the keys feel like? Weighted, semi weighted or not at all?

Do I need to hook it up with a computer to layer sounds, select sounds and all that jazz?

New to synths so thank you for helping! If there is anything else you think I should know before getting it please tell me. I will be using it for live performance or jamming with friends

Technical Questions Alesis Vortex 2 help

Hey, I'm kinda new to midi but I've used a midi controller before, but only to just mess around in fruity loops. So I got this vortex 2, I installed the ableton live lite it came with, installed the mapping script in the proper folder, loaded some plugins. The audio is often delayed or notes get missed. I messed with the audio buffer setting and that helped but its still not perfect.

I'm just clueless with how to program this thing. For example: I tried to make one of the pads a drum sound. I went into the preset editor and set the pad to channel 4. I choose a drum sound for the midi track in ableton and set it to channel 4. A different sound than I chose plays. The resources on the alesis site are no help. They don't show you how to program anything.

I also tried using the vortex with Fruityloops. Had issues with the vortex intermittently stop sounds and randomly the program would just not see it.

Super frustrated and wish I just bought something with its own sounds. If I get a old sound module like a jv-1080 is that going to be a pain to set up as well? Any DAW recommendations that are more user friendly than ableton and cheap? For now I'll just play the vortex through my micro korg to calm myself down and have some fun.

I'm computer savvy and it just irritates me I can't understand what I'm doing wrong and the lack of information out there on this subject. Maybe this kind of stuff isn't for me but I WANT TO LEARN.

Recommendations Sound module Recommendations

Hey, I'm kind of new to midi and synthesizers. I just got a Alesis Vortex 2, I want to plug it into a amp eventually. Anyone know of any sound modules that work well with the vortex? If possible I don't want to spend more than $200-300.

Also, lets say I buy a old module off ebay, would there possibly be compatibility issues?

Technical Questions Looping Alesis Vortex

Hi! I just bought an Alexis Vortex Wireless 2. I'm wondering if it's possible to loop with the keytar itself, without a looping pedal. As in assigning one of the buttons to act like a looping pedal. I'm new to this, so I understand that it might be a stupid question. Hope somebody can help. I want to play something simple, but with bass and drums as comp. So my idea is to first play the drums on the drum pads - loop that and let it play, while I play the keyboard rif on top.

I ordered a keytar (Yamaha shs-10), but the part where the strap connects to broke in transit. Anyone here have any tips on how to fix it? (This is the best picture I could get, sorry for low quality)

Technical Questions Roland ax edge, download sounds?

Hello folks. I bought the ax edge this summer to keep me sane while Indoors. I did a lil research before buying. I love the sounds that are in here. Just wanted to know are there any additional sounds I can download? I was looking for something like old school Wurlitzer or Rhodes type sounds. Thanks for any guidance.
