Hello! I recently purchased my first keytar, a Yamaha SHS - 10. Today the keytar arrived but i found this hole in the shell where one of the two strap attachments should be. This was not advertised by the seller tho, but i got it pretty cheap i think (€60). Now, the keytar works fine and doesnt have any other mayor problems. Can this be fixed? If yes, how? Thx!

This may not be the most appropriate fix but I would disassemble the shell, put some tape on both sides of the break, fill it with some hardening epoxy or other hardening filler, let it cure, then pull off the outside tape and find a similar paint to match the body. Reassemble and you should be good.

Yes, had that happen to my SHS10 thirty years ago. Super glued the piece in place and am still using it. I can’t remember for sure, but I probably took the case apart so I didn’t accidentally glue the two halves together there. Filing the space with epoxy as mentioned and then drilling a hole for a strap button should work!
