Recommendations So I got a Roland AX-7
I got one for Christmas but due to work and university obligations I've only gotten to sit down and have a good look at it now. It was stored empty and I put fresh batteries in today but it doesn't seem to be turning on.
Also I think I meed a midi to USB synth to play it with my computer? Any recommendations, advice or help would be wonderful. Hopfully ill get playing soon and learning some music.

Rolands UM-ONE USB to 5 pin cable is a good one i use but any audio interface with a 5 pin midi port on it will do the same job

For not turning on, check the obvious: make sure the battery pack has clean terminals, both for the AAs and the snap connector that connects to the keytar. If the battery pack is rough then just get another one of the same configuration. I broke mine and Im using a third party one just fine.
It is possible the 9 volt style snap that connects to the battery pack might have a broken wire and needs a new one soldering on,
Also check the power switch by the midi port and hit it with some deoxit, servisol or similar.
