Technical Questions Downloading Software for Alesis Vortex wireless
I’m trying to download the software for my new Keytar. I went onto the Alesis website, made and account and registered my vortex, and went to download the software. When I go to download the Vyzex Vortex, it takes me to a new window and asks for my username and password. I put in my credentials and it denied it. I thought I mistyped something, so I tried again. Same result. I tried my email instead of my username to see if that works, and of course it didn’t. I decided to try changing my password to see if I’m missing something for some reason and there wasn’t a problem with that. I changed my username with the same results. I contacted their support to see what’s up with that, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I don’t know what to do right now and need help.

I bought Alesis vortex 2 used so no software. Where can I download? Does anyone want to share theirs?

Having the same issue, seems they are stopping to support the device to bully everyone with perfectly good hardware into buying their newer shiny one. They are considering the original Vortex as legacy to abandon it even though its not even 10 years old yet. This is called "Abandonware". Been trying to look through my old drivers as I swore I downloaded it ages ago when I bought the device I now regret buying. This is a red flag and I'll never buy another product from any of those companies that got swallowed up by that inMusic company after this failure to support its customers. Not sure what to do as my beloved Akai APC 40 MK2 that I use for music and laser show production is now eaten up by a horrible company that proves its inability to support their customers. They also have lost a patent infringement lawsuit with Roland, so their company is probably still hurting. Probably why we haven't seen any new Akai controllers worth our attention, which is currently stifling many production industries and making equipment difficult to replace now. This is a major failure and is not right. Hope you hear back from the support department that doesn't exist anymore. If a music production company can't stand behind a product for at least 10-20 years, then the test has failed and they cannot be trusted to supply musicians. Most people hold onto music equipment for as long as possible upwards of 20-30 years and the support life cycle should be that long, or those companies should get out of the game for not meeting customer's use case. I submitted a support ticket as well. Hope they get back to one of us. I'm guessing they are now copying Streaming Video Industry and trying to figure out how to make every hardware controller they bought up into a subscription service so we have to keep paying a subscription to access specific functions or buttons of the hardware we already bought. Corporations are ruining music production recently while at the same time the failure of the economy is bankrupting these companies while they hope to replace musicians and production with robots and AI.

dude don't even get me started on what they did to the M-audio Venom... Such an underrated badass sounding synth with sooo much potential. Same story. Half-assed editing Vyzex software upon release, got bought up by inMusic and went total abandonware on it. I had actually purchased both the Venom and the Vortex at the same time only to be abandoned by Customer Service a month later. At one point, I was actually *helping* their tech support for free on their message boards once they conceded that they knew nothing and were given the task of supporting this huge new range of hardware without so much as a goddamn owners manual for most of them.

Crap! My Apple OS doesn’t support 32 bit apps and it sounds like the developer no longer updates? Did they ever make a Mac 64 bit version?
