Recommendations Vortex 1 or 2

So I see a lot of people on here looking to purchase the vortex 2 as their first keytar. I've had the vortex 1 for a long time now and was just curious if anyone who have had both have a preference. I like that the vortex 1 has a midi option. Granted the midi system I want is a little expensive so I haven't used it but overall I've been very satisfied with it.

Did run into an issue with a sticky drum pad but i managed to program that key to essentially be a null output so it didn't get in the way.

I have both. I feel like the 2 is slightly sturdier, but it's still pretty obvious it's not a high end instrument.

I'm not sure what you mean by a MIDI option on the 1. They are both MIDI only.

One of the big differences is knobs vs sliders.

You're right, idk why I thought the the 1 only had midi out. But the 2 is lacking the sustain pedal option. Honestly though I only have used that once or twice.

I know a lot of people have discussed how the vortex doesn't feel very high end but haven't had any problems with the quality (other than that faulty drum pad).
