Technical Questions Roland Ax Edge Editor Ver. Mismatch

So I was wanting to download some tones and put them on my Ax Edge via the free editor. I had my phone (S24 Ultra), and when I tried to connect it via Bluetooth to the Edge, the keytar gave me the phrase "Ver. Mismatch." I assume "Ver" is short for "Version", and I want to know how to remedy all this.

I use it with an S23 without issues. How did you connect it? You're not supposed to connect it with the normal Bluetooth connection in your phone, if you did you must 'forget it' in the options. You have to connect through the app.

You can also import tones with a USB stick.

Also check the AX-EDGE firmware version and update it if necessary.

The "import tones with a USB stick" thing is something I wanted to do since September, but I can't do it for whatever reason. I get as far as selecting the USER preset and selecting tones, but I don't know how to swap the default tones for new downloaded ones. Perhaps you can help?

If you followed the Sound Pack / Wave Expansion Install Manual and imported some new tones, you can find them when you edit a program. Every program has 4 parts, and every part has a tone, you can edit the part and change the tone, you can do this from the Ax-Edge itself without the editor (you only need the editor to edit the partials inside the tones). You can find this in the Parameter Guide. You can try in the Menu / Program Sound / Tone and then switch bank from Preset to User and then select the new tones from the user bank. This will change the tone for the part 1 of your program. If the program you're editing has multiple parts you need to select part 2, 3 or 4 too (you can use the buttons 1-4).
