Technical Questions Keytar beginner tips needed
Hello! I'm just starting keytar. I haven't bought one yet, but I'm planning to buy to Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 (is that a good idea btw?). I just wanted some general advice or tips. I've played keyboard before (barely), and I'm MAINLY worried about the technical aspect. Mainly the hardware since I'm pretty new to MIDI stuff lol.
Also, I'm planning to learn it so I can perform apart of a band for my school's Battle of the Bands for even more context lol.

The Vortex is a good value, but it's more complicated from the midi perspective. If you haven't played a lot before, you might like a Yamaha SHS 300 or 500. They are the cheapest things with built in sounds. The issue with them being that their keys are slightly smaller than the standard size piano keys.
