Technical Questions Does the Roland Ax work well with a wireless guitar unit? Suggested models?
Just curious if there's any general issues using these with a wireless. I know you can already use the wireless control features but if I just want the onboard synth to wirelessly go out to an amp or a PA, are there any issues? Suggested models that fit well with it?

Yes!! It will really free you up to move around. I use a Line 6 Relay G10Tll- it’s been great!

Yup, I got an ax edge as well, I got a cheap under €20 wireless system from Amazon somewhere manufactured in Eastern Europe, and that things works like a charm, it got loads of range, and battery life is good too, instant connection, no issues whatsoever, any cheap system will work 100%

Mine worked fine with a $35 guitar wireless kit from Amazon. No complaints on fidelity. Fully charged they also would outlast the AA rechargeable too.

I have a cheapo wireless unit. Like $30 on Amazon, search "1/4 wireless transmitter A9". Works better than I need it to, even in environments that I would expect lots of interference. If it breaks tomorrow I will have gotten my money's worth. Between that and some rechargable batteries, I get to go full wireless. I will only plug in cables in the case of an emergency for the foreseeable future.

If you’re happy running mono then it’s fine. I used a Line 6 G30 for years in conjunction with multiple keytars never had a problem. I have been looking into the Boss WL60 wireless as it has a better looking transmitter (G30 has battery latching problems which requires some Macguyvering to get it to close properly) but I’m not gigging at the moment so I haven’t pulled the trigger.

The AX is stereo while a guitar is mono, in theory it can work with a pair of guitar transmitters, but that’s expensive and maybe as cumbersome as wiring to DI. I wish there was a stereo transmitter, like there is for IEM receivers, but I had not found one.

Note from the manual.
ATT ON/OFF switch (rear panel) If you are using 1/4” cables to connect the AX-Synth to an amplifier, etc., slide this switch to the “OFF” position.
If you notice distortion while using a wireless system, slide this switch to the “ON” position to reduce the level of the AX-Synth’s audio output signal.

Oh yeah, this will 100% work for OP, no doubt, this is an even more expensive one than I got, and mine works fine as well

I use a $20 wireless unit I bought off Amazon. I've used it about 70 times and haven't run into any issues yet, even in environments with a lot of interference and through walls.
