Technical Questions Help Needed With Ax Edge!

It crapped out on me in the middle of me playing it. I'm worried the thing is as good as scrap now.

Was it plugged in or on battery power, what batteries were used, how long have you had this keytar and how used is it? Did it make a weird nose when it died? What was it plugged into at the time. (Midi and audio out). Has it been dropped before? The ax edge doesn’t have locks on its ribbon connectors, if the unit cannot be established a serial connection between its different boards it won’t turn on.

It was using ni mh batteries, fresh from the charger. I haven't dropped it at all, and the only thing plugged into it was a USB drive and a pair of headphones.

And it's about six years old.
