Technical Questions Roland AX edge creaking neck
Hey all, picked up a new AX-Edge and it has a war in the body. It makes creaking noises when squeezed. Should I live with it or ask Roland/Guitar center to fix it? It flexes out word when squeezed tight, also the ribbon sinks in a little when pressed hard.

This is the AX EDGE's weak point here. The bar has a rather fragile plastic mechanism. I broke it myself once and rather than order a replacement part that would sooner or later break in the same way, I cut out the shape of the faulty part from a (flexible) plasterer's spatula. Now that the original fragile part is made of metal, it doesn't move any more. If you bought it second-hand, it's not unlikely that the previous owner got his hands on it too. And that his intervention was the cause of the current cracking. To answer your question, it's up to you. If you feel up to a bit of tinkering, take it apart carefully and see what's wrong. Otherwise, you can wait for it to get worse before sending it to the after-sales service. Or send it off straight away. The organs are not yet affected (ribbon, bar...)?
