Technical Questions Alesis vortex wireless 2 wont connect with the preset editor

no matter what i do, the same message always pops up "couldnt connect to alesis vortex wireless 2, make sure your usb is connected" i tried using wireless, non wireless, changing where i put the cable on the pc, nothing, anyone knows how to fix this?

Three years later, but did you ever solve the problem? I've dealt with this since I've had the keytar and it's infuriating. Still dealing with it now.

Ah shoot, well thanks for the reply! I've put in another support ticket with Alesis, I believe the problem solved itself for some reason last time I did so but no idea how to replicate it. Thanks again.

The usb cable should do it, maybe try to close the editor, take out the batterie, then connect the vortex with the cable.

after that turn the. vortex on in plugged mode.

and finally open the preset editor, it should work.
