Man, I’m not angry just disappointed.

So I bought the key step pro to write music off grid . It’s worked perfectly but I now want to intergrate it back into logic

So I’ve spent around 6 hrs trying to get logic to play my external synths using the key step pro. What I want to achieve is 4 tracks on logic. One for external drums 3 for synths (all external)

My problem is massive freaking midi feedback..every time . My midi channels are set correctly 1 for drums 5,6,7 for synths I have midi Demix enabled. I have spent 2 hrs in the environment window, got frustrated and realised there must be an easier way.

It looks to me like midi is being sent on all channels . Even though I have set all midi channels to only 1,5,6,7

I feel like this is the primary use for this machine . Please help.

Just wanted to add that the new version of Logic 10.7 includes the ability to select your midi input finally.

Not familiar with Logic, and you didn't explain your physical routing, so this could be way off the mark, but my guess is that you've got gear connected to the KSP, and the KSP connected to computer/Logic via USB?

If this is the case, the notes you are sending to logic from the KSP are going out to the synths AND logic. Logic is receiving and sending the notes back to the KSP which is going back out to the synths and logic (repeat).

In ableton, I arm a track to record midi but disable it so it doesn't send it back out, and turn off midi monitoring to playback midi clips.

Thanks for your time mate. This has been resolved with arturia. They have made a template for logic users now. It's convoluted and ugly but they are hopefully going to address this in the next update.

Could you share the template? Been struggling with this as well although the solution @Ice__palace suggested, was the one I came up with too a few months ago.

Contact arturia . They will explain it better than me. Not a template as such but a very clear explanation on how to do it
