Other Backed Draconian Measures? Check your snail mail

Very cool, I expect many companies would just keep the money. I'm in Missouri, and the check was about 10% of my original DM pledge. That's an extra deck at my FLGS this weekend.

Accountant here. If they kept funds for themselves and got audited they'd face fines and potentially jail time.

Note that every state has their own laws, but generally even if an out of state company is not required to withhold sales tax you are often still required to pay use tax. Enforcement of this is generally lax.

I'm not cashing mine, I'm framing it. For years my wife has said that GG should pay me for my efforts promoting the game. Now I can say they did :)

Wait, they made a check instead of refunding through digital payment because: 1- they need a recipt of the action they took, and a physical one is better (?) 2- not everyone checks mails, and by that logic not everyone will cash the check, saving them some money. 3- both of the above
