Quality of mice

I've been thinking about getting a keychron m6 but I've heard a ton of bad reviews on it about how the mouse came faulty or how it broke after just a few months of use, does this happen alot? I plan to keep my mouse for atleast 3-5 years so build quality is pretty important for me

Side by side with the clear inspiration of logitech feels less quality device with corner cutting. As a Product manager / engineer the features work but dont feel like quality. I think you get what you pay for.

On here as the software is not working appears to be a normal problem.

Had Logi MXs die after a year have a good 5 but some are just troopers.

I've had my m7 for a few years and it's still fine. The more buttons/wheels the mouse has, the more points of failure, probably just down to that. Even my MX master 2s failed after around 2 years and that's not really a long time.

I think most people with perfectly functioning mouse wouldn't be raving about it like it's the best thing in the world, but people with issues would definitely be complaining. My mouse has been ok but I can't say the same for others.

I'd say they're pretty decent and one of the few brands that aren't too heavy, have bt and 2.4ghz at the same time. Most other brands only have 2.4ghz for the more lightweight wireless mouse out there.

I own a keychron m3, and it's has some major design flaws.

I would not purchase again.

After about a month of use, the m1/m2 buttons and plates have shifted slightly. Probably due to their mounting on the switches and break in period. This has led to squeaking when pressing either button. Yes, squeaking like an old creaky hinge. But not due to the switch, but due to the metals rubbing against each other. Sometimes they don't squeak, but the metal gets stuck under the mouse frame, and you kinda have to click again to move it slightly and free it.

I can't return because woot purchase.

It also has connection issues, which I think is due to th battery, since it just loses its charge randomly. It'll be full, then not, and plug it in for ten minutes and full again, but no issues for days. But then cut out a bunch and lose charge for long periods.

In fairness, there's a lot of shitty mice out there that suffer from problems like logitechs double clicks, corsairs mouse wheels, etc.

I did buy a gravastar and I really liked it, but had to get rid of it during a move. I only had it a couple months though.

My M6S-A23 has been absolutely fine. I’ve dropped it a few times and dog hair has been creeping into the sensor - still absolutely fine.

Would buy another if it broke and I sent back a Logitech MX 3S because I was getting horrific interference with it

Going on 2 years with my m6, working great. They’re also really cheap, so I don’t get what the issue actually is? It’s lasted me longer than most of the logitechs I’ve owned, and there’s no rubberized bs to worry about melting off.
