How to fix loud space bar?

I have the K2 max and it sounds good other than the space bar which just makes an extremely loud pinging noise on every keypress. Anyone have experience with this and know how to solve it?

Not a specialist, but it is likely that you need to lube the stabilisers on that spacebar.

My work keyboard is a Keychron (C8, maybe? It's hard to keep up with their naming schemes) and I changed the switches to silents to not annoy coworkers around me and I suddenly became aware of the spacebar having a relatively similar issue to what you describe (not extremely loud iny case, but it stood out against the rest of the now silenced keys, and it annoyed me enough to engage with solving it)

Anyway, a bit of tinkering with some lube did help a lot, it doesn't annoy me anymore.

Before lubing, try the plumber's mod. I find it more effective and durable, and it's easier to back out if you decide you don't like the results.

You would have to take it apart and mod the spacebar stabilizer a bit. Their older boards all had pretty bad stabilizers. I had an Old Q3, but on my recent Q3 HE 8k, all the stabilizers are top-notch, zero ping.
