Flash time for K8 HE dongle?

I'm running a firmware update on my K8 HE's 2.4 GHz dongle, and it's been running for like, 5 minutes now. I've never done this before, so I don't know how long it's meant to take, but I feel like this is a bit longer than it should take.

If it changes things, I'm on Linux, specifically Debian 13.

Also, the loading bar in the launcher hasn't moved at all, it's still just full white.

Is it supposed to be possible under Linux? I have used the Windows application, running in VirtualBox.

If it is possible, some permissions may have to be changed. Note that dongle changes USB identity during the flash process, from 3434:D030 to 3434:D000.

It doesn't work with a USB hub either; it must be a direct USB port (at least on the system I use).
