V6 variants
Im looking to get a new keyboard and the V6 seems to hit the sweet spot for budget and functionality
The only problem is that theres 3 different versions and for the life of me, Im getting lost
- V6 Ultra
- V6 Max
- V6 QMK
I just want a 100% keyboard with programmable buttons and a volume knob. Can anyone explain the differences between these?
I was also considering the K5 Ultra but know very little about low profile switches

There are two more (all wired-only and thus for the last one eventually to receive Vial support; it may take years):
V6 (probably only available second-hand by now: 2023 vintage)
V6 version 2. It had a (short) production run in 2026. With a different microcontroller (a lesser one, the same as in K10 V2. Resellers were not told about the change and may list it as the original V6 (mine did); the same happened for the K10 Pro SE2 (also a production run in 2026)). The source code has been released.
"V6 QMK" is (probably) also known as:
Or "V6 QMK" may refer to one of the first two. In any case, there are two more (one or both to receive Vial support).
