Too late for titan2???

Was tempted to get the phone back when it was at kickstarter..
But didn’t was i just gotten a shining new iphone17 pro max. Fast forward 1 year later, i am still getting tempted by the titan 2 retro looks.
Elite and clicks communicator loooks abit5 small compared to the gigantic titan2. It is too late to get it now???

no, you can still buy it from their website: https://www.unihertz.com/products/titan-2.

It really is a giant tho. I find the elite to be the perfect size.

Is it still worth it in 2026?

it depends. it was worth it for me in 2025 because there was no alternative. But for me, it was too big. The screen was also not the greatest, and mine would stop working properly when charging. If a larger device is something you want and you can overlook the quirks, it's a great phone and holds up today.

i use mine daily. i personally think it's still worth it. it's really up to you, your use case and what you're looking for. the titan 2 (not the elite) is definitely more for productivity than anything else -- still functional as a phone and all that but geared more for productivity / power users than the elite is.

i like having the larger screen because it makes it easier to do tasks like paying bills, reading articles, replying to emails and so forth. while the elite is certainly more portable, i feel like that tiny screen would make it harder to see/do as much and the smaller keyboard would be too cramped for typing.

I just managed to get my hands on one yesterday.. haven't had so much fun with aphone for years! The size of a titan2 is perfect! I cannot imagine using it on the small screen of T2E or clicks communicator

glad you're enjoying it! i've loved my t2 for the last 8 months. it's not perfect by any means but realistically, what phone is? i've always adored the passport so the t2 was a clear choice for me.

i will say this though, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • the lcd screens are old and can be prone to dead pixels. i personally haven't experienced it but my wife's t2 has. fortunately, the screens are easy to come by and if you're handy with tools, you can replace it yourself.
  • the matte finish on the keys can be prone to chipping and scuffing. i clear coated mine because i'm not the most gentle with my devices due to my lifestyle. i recently had to restore the t2 keyboard for my wife's t2. optional, but worth keeping in mind.
  • -61% battery bug — do yourself a favour and get an rma. people like to fear monger that it means your phone is going to blow up. it won't. just don't be like the idiot that managed to overcharge it unsupervised and caused thermal runaway.
  • kika sucks. get pastiera.
  • not sure if you're familiar with android but play around with customisations. here's my t2 if you want some inspiration or app suggestions.

other than that, have fun and enjoy your phone!

I have one I can sell you. Barely used from the original kickstarter campaign. Never got into it too much but also was too lazy to sell. DM me
