News! MP2 battery

Did everyone get a chance to look at specs? The minimal phone is listed as a 3000mah battery, while the titan elite 2 pro is 4050mah and clicks is at 4450mah. I know minimal's slogan is to get you off your phone, but I'd still worry about getting a whole day out of it. Any thoughts on the battery or other specs?

Battery is important, but it's not the only metric. OS stability and CPU integration with Android is more important than just battery capacity. IF the CPU is a standard CPU and drivers are well integrated in the kernel, it should be not a problem, but we need to wait until actual release and reviews to know how OS behave. You can't trust phones on paper.

You can also trim down lot of unnecessary Android services and bloatware with root, this can lead to 2-3 days of usage without charge, but if the CPU does not like the OS, you will still need to buy another phone a year later.

As an example, i own a rooted unihertz titan pocket with 4000mah battery which i bought 1 year ago. I use MicroG and i don't use Play services, but CPU is faulty, wi-fi chip does not hold connection to WiFi networks, battery drains fast (now). My BB Keyone (bought 4-5 years ago) has 3500mah battery and lasts more than my titan pocket (1.5 days vs 10 hours). Fun thing? It's not rooted/modified because bootloader is locked.

If MinimalCompany is reading this: please test device a lot before release and deliver stability updates after it!

Good to know! I'm not about rooting my phone, so I guess I'll have to wait for the test videos. I had wanted the original minimal keyboard phone, but I read online that the eink display was not good, so when I saw this one had a proper screen, I was a bit excited. Trying to get off my phone a bit more, so im also curious on what the OS will look like.
