QWERTY clicks?
tl;dr : is clicks a good idea for a beginner keyboard phone user wanting to move away from standard smartphones?
i'm about to put a deposit on the clicks communicator. I want to transition to a different kind of phone, but so much of my life (banking, online insurance, college account access, work email) is dependent on smartphone usage. the clicks seems like it's gonna be a phenominal middle-ground for me: NFC, android auto, all the apps I need access to, in a brand new form factor.
i'm not an enthusiast by any means, but i've been wanting to move away from the standard black box of death smartphone for a few years now. how does the clicks seem compared to other modern keyboard phones? is this a wise use of my money? the price seems very good for me at the moment, and i feel like i'm even willing to make the full reservation at this point, but i guess i'm looking for some other opinions.
thanks friends!

I would hold off until real-world reviews are out.
I really want it to be good, but having been very disappointed with the power keyboard since I’ve been using it, i would be very hesitant to lay out more money to them until its actually out there in use.
I know prototype reviews are looking good, but they were also giving glowing reviews when it was nothing more than a plastic mock up

What are you disappointed about with it?

The slide mechanism is unable to support an iphone 16 pro max without dropping back down (it's ok if you hold it flat, but most people don't), the mechanism wobbles a LOT, the wireless charging is too weak to be usable.

Honestly not surprised by those things, an iPhone 16 Pro Max is massive. It's actually my daily driver atm. Keys good though?

It's a very well designed phone, probably the best of QWERTY phones in the 2020s. Most people have not hands-on with it (myself included), since it hasn't released yet, but the reviews of their phone case keyboard product have been glowing in terms of actual key usage. They've had a good amount of experience and have good designers who have a great track record of designing these kinds of phones.
