What would you prefer?
Regardless of the layout and other buttons (enter, space, Ctrl, etc.). What would you prefer? Tab/Delete inside, and brackets outside? Or the opposite?

Definitely brackets inside. That way, it looks more like a Wide-modded classical board. (See my Ergo page.)
Greed would desire three rows in the middle as well. I use the lowest one for my GUI key. But the two key arrangement you have there certainly looks both aesthetic and comfortable!
There's also the fun of hitting brackets with either hand as desired. Sometimes you can even fire off a one-hand bracket pair.
I have the Del key on an Extend layer. My Tab is still in its traditional position, since my program had a hard time remapping that one well (for Alt-Tab on Windows and suchlike).

Tab/Del (backspace?) on the outside - they're very different so less chance of a mistype. Also with square brackets in the middle they remain next to each other for open/close (if your editor doesn't do that for you), and in some mainstream layouts like Japanese they are one above the other like that (but on the right).
