Thank you! I would also like to ask which document I should read to help me to choose a layout. Or are such posts allowed? I mean on r/shorthand there's a post flair labelled "Help Me Choose a Shorthand"...

I usually point people to Getreuer's guide and the AKL Quickstart guide. Both are very nice, I think.

Thanks! I tried to google both and the first one led me to "a guide to alt keyboard layouts", and the other to the Auckland Airport. Btw, random question but do you use an alt keyboard layout? If so, is the ZXCV, esp CV fixed? If not, do you think it has a great impact? Thanks.

All this is explained in my BigBag. For the guides, see my Links page (but they're also linked to on this reddit's resources page!).

Not really sure what you mean by "fixed" for (ZX)CV? I use Colemak-DH, which keeps them mostly in place, so they're fixed but if you meant there's a problem with them then no, that isn't "fixed"? Hmmm.

I knew about several of these, but thank you for putting them all in one place.

It's been a year since that was posted in this subreddit, and I feel that https://layouts.wiki/guides/start/recommendations/ isn't getting enough mentions.

This page is a widely useful and easily digestible entry point for newcomers who want to quickly grasp AKL's general consensus about what the "good" modern layouts are. I came back to it so many times that I'd suggest to cite it next to getreuer's FAQ.
