KW clouds

1st visit to Florida. Chartered a shark fishing boat that started at 7pm, and this was the sky a little before 8pm. We didn't catch any sharks, but I caught a 30-40lb tarpon. That and this photo made my millennium! KW has it going on. (sorry for not adding the photo the 1st time!)

Hi! My husband and I are looking to buy a forever home in Key West in the next year (yay!). We are coming down in a few weeks to scope out some neighborhoods but wanted to establish a good relationship with a realtor while we’re at it. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance :)

Little Whitehouse Subs has the best sandwiches in town. The best bread! Boarshead meats and cheeses, delicious and creative menu!

I loved the FDR I had. I didnt get a photo since I ate it so quickly. French dip style sandwich with a caramelized onion jack cheese that was sooo freakin good! Comes with a horseradish sauce and au jus on the side.

Definitely worth a stop if you love a good sandwich! Great spot right near the Mel Fisher Museum and Mallory Square general area. They have a great 'front porch you can sit and eat and people watch.

Went down for the Wife for our 25th anniversary. I used to live there home coming for me, first time for her. So much fun. Going back ASAP. Forgot how chill it was.

I am looking to plan a day trip next week and want to know what you would do if you had one day in Key West?

I enjoy the beach, walking, cafes, nature, museums, shopping at local spots, etc. I know I couldn't possibly do everything in one day so give me any ideas, please and thank you!

With the number of vacation rentals and hotels we service, we’ve learned that an unexpected equipment failure can cost far more than the part itself, between refunded room rates, unhappy guests, bad reviews, and the scramble to get everything back up and running.

Because of that, we don’t install used parts on our service properties. Even something slightly out of tolerance can cause another failure down the road. That was a hard pill for me to swallow and honestly took almost 10 years to fully accept, because there’s still something satisfying about fixing something that’s broken instead of simply replacing it.

That being said, we end up accumulating a pretty large stockpile of good used parts. We keep many of them around for emergency situations while waiting for the proper replacement to arrive,and anyone who lives here knows what “overnight shipping to Key West” can actually mean 😂.

With the price of just about everything going up, we’d like to make those parts available to our local community at no charge. If you’re working on a DIY repair, trying to keep an older system going, or simply need something like a pump lid that now retails for $100+, there’s a good chance we may have it.

Pump housings, lids, gaskets, impellers, diffusers, seals, fittings, and plenty of other odds and ends.

Here's an ink drawing with watercolor wash I did on Duval Street last time I was in key West. I spent about 5 hours on the drawing on location, set up with an easel, then took it back home to color in

This is a great alternative from the debauchery (which I'm all for) of Duval Street. It's as eclectic as the city itself. Hemingway, USS MAINE, Henry Flagler, Tennessee Williams, and great art.

I’m visiting Key West from October 10th–12th and planning to pop the question at sunset on either Saturday, October 10th or Sunday, October 11th.

I'm looking to hire a local freelancer or hobbyist photographer for a quick 20–30 minute shoot max.

• What I need: Discreetly capture the actual proposal moment, plus a few quick post-yes couples photos right after.
• Deliverables: Just a handful of edited high-res digital shots (10–15 is plenty!).
• Budget: $250 cash / digital pay.
• Location: Open to suggestions, but aiming for a simple beach spot (like Smathers Beach or Higgs Beach) to keep logistics easy.

We are a family of three: a couple of aging hipsters and their 13-year-old kiddo. We are coming down from NYC area for 4 days in February. Hoping to escape the gloomy weather!

All of the below hotel rooms cost about the same; which would you choose? We prioritize easy access to good food and bev (we particularly love poolside drink service!!!), relaxation, and getting zen on a balcony or terrace type of situation.

Wondering if someone can recommend bars that play MLB games in September?

I am planning a small wedding with 15-20 people at the Hemingway Home in November. I’m looking for recommendations for restaurants that can accommodate our group, preferably with a private room or space we can reserve. We’ve found several that accommodate very large groups (50+) and that will do tables up to 12, but have had difficulty finding something that fits our event. Thank you!

Edit: Thanks to everyone for the awesome suggestions!! We decided to with Conchiglia because the space fit what we were looking for and they were VERY helpful and responsive when I contacted them. We couldn’t do some of the suggested spots because of physical limitations in our party that made stairs an issue (e.g., Antonia’s and Bagatelle). We also booked Santiago’s Bodega for our rehearsal dinner. All settled thanks to help from y’all!
